Detecting Counterfeit Copies of Liturgy of the Ordinary

Friends, I mentioned this morning that approximately 15,000 counterfeit copies of my book Liturgy of the Ordinary have been sold on Amazon. Please click here to find out more details about what happened and how to respond. And here is CT’s great story on it.

Additionally, here are some photos that my publisher at IVP just sent me to help you to discern if the copy you purchased is an original or a counterfeit. Please note that not all counterfeit copies have these errors! You could have a counterfeit copy that does not have all of the errors listed here or that has other errors that are not listed here. It appears that counterfeiters corrected certain mistakes over time. But these photos will hopefully be a guide. Seeing the books side by side helps me see the differences. In addition to these photos, more ways to spot counterfeit books are listed in my earlier post.

Update: IVP issued this statement with a direct link to photos showing real vs. fake copies of my book. https://www.ivpress.com/press-releases/2019/statement-from-intervarsity-press-on-counterfeiting
